Frugal Mommie Friday

Today I would like to venture into the realm of coupons. As most of us know coupons can definitely add up at the check out line and save us a lot of money. However, many people don’t realize that there are numerous ways to utilize the use of coupons. Coupons can be doubled and sometimes tripled in value. If you want to find out if your local grocery store doubles or triples coupons, simply ask.

Many of us get the Sunday paper just for the coupons inside. However, you may not realize that there are lots of websites available with free coupons to print out. Some of these websites are, http://www.mycoupons.com, http://www.coupons.com, and http://www.grocerycoupons.com, just to name a few. If you are interested in finding more of these websites go to a search engine such as Yahoo or Google and type “coupons” in the search box.

If you have products that you purchase frequently, you can call the manufacturer direct and tell their reps just how much you use and love their products and ask if they have any coupons available. In addition, you can also go to the manufacturers’ website to print out coupons or sign up to receive specials and discounts.

We are all doing our best to work within our designated budgets. It’s not always easy, but we have to work with what we have. I know that some of these things may be time consuming, but a little bit of time could potentially save you a lot of money. It’s an opportunity cost kind of thing. Take a little extra time before your next shopping trip to collect some coupons for use. Just remember to always plan ahead when it comes to spending your money. “The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.” (Proverbs 21:5).

Keep me posted on how much money you save on your next shopping trip by leaving a comment at the end of one of the posts on savedmom.com. Until our next appointed meeting time. I use coupons on a regular basis for grocery shopping. I recently saved $20.00 on groceries with coupons! :-)
