Word Wednesday

Today is officially “Word Wednesday” otherwise known as “Hump Day.” We’ve made it half way through yet another week on the wonderful, exciting and bumpy road of motherhood. Therefore, some of us are looking for some encouraging words to make it through the rest of the week with Joy and Peace. At night before my son goes to bed, in addition to reading bible stories, I read him a passage out of Prayers That Avail Much, First Blessings for Your Child by Germaine Copeland. Mommies we have to keep our children prayed up and constantly put Gods Word in their hearts.

Yesterday’s passage read, “I pray that the Father will watch over you when I am absent and we are hidden from one another. I ask Him, to cover you with His feathers. Under His wings you shall take refuge. I thank God that you are never alone.” As parents it’s not uncommon for us to worry about our children when they are not in our presence. Although, as Christian parents we can find comfort in knowing that our Father will watch over them in our absence. The Lord our God will never leave or forsake us or our children. “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8).

This is one of the many reasons that it is important that we live submitted lives and cover our children until they can spiritually cover themselves. In the midst of me typing this I just heard about the devastation that has taken place in Haiti. I am going to turn my focus away from this entry to pray for the people of Haiti. I ask that each of you take time to send your prayers up and go www.redcross.org to make donations to aid Haiti in their time of need. Peace and blessings to you.

Until our next appointed meeting time. Stay tuned for more words of encouragement and inspiration for M.O.M.’s near and far! Please share this blog with as many people as you know (www.savedmom.com), we have so many lives to touch. Feel free to post a comment and/or subscribe (if you are reading this from your inbox visit the site address referenced above to post a comment). If you would like to submit prayer requests send them to info@savedmom.com. Thanks for your continued support!

Mommie Blessings,

Saved M.O.M.

Awesome, post Shonte'. I was just telling Kellus today of how grateful I am that God protects our children. It's so vitally important that we pray over our children girl. God amazes me that he hears our prayers and covers them!

Love you sis!
