Word Wednesday

Today is officially “Word Wednesday” otherwise known as “Hump Day.” We’ve made it half way through yet another week on the wonderful, exciting and bumpy road of motherhood. Therefore, some of us are looking for some encouraging words to make it through the rest of the week with Joy and Peace. At night before my son goes to bed, in addition to reading bible stories, I read him a passage out of Prayers That Avail Much, First Blessings for Your Child by Germaine Copeland. Mommies we have to keep our children prayed up and constantly put Gods Word in their hearts.

Yesterday’s passage read, “May Christ dwell in your heart through faith. I ask the Father to teach you how to be rooted and grounded in love, and to be able to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the width, length, depth and height of the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Wow, now that’s a prayer! Most of you all know that I have been really into this “love walk” subject lately. I was inspired by Pastor Joyce Meyer’s Love Revolution series. Walking in love is one of the great commandments of Jesus Christ. I mean, He sacrificed His life because of His love for us! “It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love. (John 13:1) Now that is some serious love!

As parents, we have a tangible comprehension of unconditional love. Now, as Christian parents, we have a duty to teach our children how to love others as Christ loves us. With that kind of unyielding love in action we have a power that is truly amazing. Walking in that agape love gives you a freedom that words can’t even begin to express. So let’s continue to strengthen our love walk and live life to the fullest!

Until our next appointed meeting time. Stay tuned for more words of encouragement and inspiration for M.O.M.’s near and far! Please share this blog with as many people as you know (www.savedmom.com), we have so many lives to touch.
