I Learned From You

I learned about love from you,
Watching your caring ways.

Feature Friday

Congratulations, you made it through another week in the life of a Saved M.O.M.! Here at Savedmom.com we take time out on Fridays to feature Saved M.O.M.’s. There are so many wonderful mothers that don’t get the recognition they deserve. I am happy to say that this Feature Friday post is dedicated to Jill Tidwell. Jill is a devoted wife and the mother of two handsome boys. She currently resides in Marietta, GA. Jill is a full-time mother and has found that her current passion is in being a mom.

When I asked Jill how and when she came to know the Lord she shared, “I was fortunate to grow up in the church, but I remember asking the Lord into my heart when I was in fourth grade.” It’s a major blessing to receive salvation at such an early age!

When asked what being a Saved M.O.M. means to her, Jill said, “Being a Saved M.O.M. means “walking the walk” for not only my children to see, but also witnessing through my actions to those around me.” Jill’s favorite scripture is Philippians 5:8, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

Jill wanted to leave theses words with our mothers… “Love unconditionally.” This is the advice that her mother gave her and she wanted to pass it along. I have been talking a lot about our “love walk” lately and I couldn’t have given better words of advice myself. Thanks Jill!

Thursday Prayer

It’s Thursday and you know what that means; today is our designated day of prayer. We will pray together today at 6:30pm. If you are not able to physically make it to the prayer meeting location you can join us in spirit. We are praying that God’s will is done in the lives of his faithful servants and that millions will receive salvation this year. We will say a special prayer of wisdom, protection, and divine guidance for our leaders, law enforcers and medical providers. Also, let’s not forget to keep Haiti and Chile in our prayers in wake of their recent devastation's. In addition to your prayers please donate whatever you can to aid in their time of need.

We are praying for Mrs. Sullivan and Cheree. We will stand in agreement with the Sullivans for Ms. Sullivans manifested healing in her body. We are also praying that Cheree receives healing in the midst of her cancer battle.

As always we will pray that many mothers will be blessed by this ministry and great works will be done through this ministry. We will continue to stand on our weekly prayer points listed below. It is so important that we stand together in prayer, “For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” (Matthew 18:20).

We will continue to pray that love is the motivating force behind EVERYTHING that we do and that we operate in love at ALL times, especially when we don’t feel like it. For the word tells us, “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter 4:8). The word also says, “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” (John 15:12). If we can just learn to love always, no matter what, things will turn out well and happiness will be sure to follow.


Weekly prayer points are as follows…
Our family, friends and loved ones receive salvation and live lives that are submitted to the Lord.
We maintain health and strength in the midst of it all.
Our children are always covered by the blood of Jesus, making Godly decisions and living submitted lives.
We all are continually filled with the heart and mind of Christ Jesus.
We are standing with all the mothers attached to this ministry and mothers worldwide that God’s will be done in their lives.
Thank you for standing with us and lifting up the prayer requests that have been laid before us. Remember to thank Him in advance. God bless you!

Scriptural focus for today's prayer meeting: "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." (Isaiah 26:3)

Word Wednesday

Today is officially “Word Wednesday” otherwise known as “Hump Day.” We’ve made it half way through yet another week on the wonderful, exciting and bumpy road of motherhood. Therefore, some of us are looking for some encouraging words to make it through the rest of the week with Joy and Peace. At night before my son goes to bed, in addition to reading bible stories, I read him a passage out of Prayers That Avail Much, First Blessings for Your Child by Germaine Copeland. Mommies we have to keep our children prayed up and constantly put Gods Word in their hearts.

Yesterday’s passage read, “May Christ dwell in your heart through faith. I ask the Father to teach you how to be rooted and grounded in love, and to be able to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the width, length, depth and height of the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Wow, now that’s a prayer! Most of you all know that I have been really into this “love walk” subject lately. I was inspired by Pastor Joyce Meyer’s Love Revolution series. Walking in love is one of the great commandments of Jesus Christ. I mean, He sacrificed His life because of His love for us! “It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love. (John 13:1) Now that is some serious love!

As parents, we have a tangible comprehension of unconditional love. Now, as Christian parents, we have a duty to teach our children how to love others as Christ loves us. With that kind of unyielding love in action we have a power that is truly amazing. Walking in that agape love gives you a freedom that words can’t even begin to express. So let’s continue to strengthen our love walk and live life to the fullest!

It's Spring Time!

Wow, I can’t believe another season has come and gone! I hope that each of you enjoyed the first day of spring and enjoyed a weekend filled with joy and blessings. I definitely had an awesome weekend! Hubby and I had an opportunity to get several overdue projects completed and spend time with family and friends.

My biological father came over and helped us with the tasks that needed to be completed. I am so thankful for our new found relationship. We had a very shaky past and I harbored unforgiveness towards him in my heart for many years, but the Lord has delivered us both and mended our relationship. I just bask in shear amazement at what God has done in our lives. Everyone deserves another chance, that’s the Word. “Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?”, “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven! (Matthew 18:21-22).

When it is all said and done, we are mere humans, made up of flesh and born with a sinful nature. Once we have received salvation and we repent of our sins, God forgives us time after time. So, if we were made in His image and likeness, shouldn’t we be willing to do the same. People don’t realize how unforgiveness holds one back and can manifest into illness and disease. Who do you need to forgive today?

Let’s take sometime to have a WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) moment and make a choice to forgive those who have offended or hurt us. That one decision could revolutionize your life! It’s a new season in the natural realm, so let’s declare a new season in the spiritual realm as well.

Thursday Prayer

Also, let’s not forget to keep Haiti and Chile in our prayers in wake of their recent devastation's. In addition to your prayers please donate whatever you can to aid in their time of need.

We are continuing to pray for Delonda and Cheree. Delonda would like for us to stand in agreement with her that her and her family have divine favor as they prepare to relocate. We are also praying that Cheree receives healing in the midst of her cancer battle.

As always we will pray that many mothers will be blessed by this ministry and great works will be done through this ministry. We will continue to stand on our weekly prayer points listed below. Word Wednesday

Mommies we have to keep our children prayed up and constantly put Gods Word in their hearts.

Monday’s passage read, “I bring you, our baby before God. I thank our High God for you because you are breathtaking! Body and soul, you are marvelously made! I worship God in adoration over His creation! He made you inside and out.” According to the Word of God we are all fearfully and wonderfully made. “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:14). As parents we should uplift our children and let them know that they are beautiful both inside and out. No matter what our imperfections are, God made us marvelously.

It’s unfortunately that so many people are living with low-self esteem. In many instances their low self-esteem stems from a childhood filled with neglect and rejection. What a difference it would have made if their parents told them that they were beautiful, that they were fearfully and wonderfully made and that God makes no mistakes.

If you struggle with low self-esteem, be encouraged in knowing that you are an amazing and beautiful child of God. You were created in His image and likeness. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27).

If you are a parent, take time everyday to encourage and compliment your children. Build them up and teach them to do the same to others. Just think, how would you feel if someone encouraged you everyday? Right now I thank God for making you, you!

The Ultimate Love Letter

Good afternoon to each and every one of you. As I sat at the computer today seeking out the topic of bloggersation, I decided to write a love letter to God. I have been in such a state of thanksgiving lately and also working on perfecting my love walk. So here goes…

Dear God,

It’s such an amazing feeling to know that you love me so. I can’t even imagine or fathom the idea of sacrificing my only son so that many could be saved (ref. John 3:16). Who am I that you are mindful of me, that you hear me when I call? Before receiving salvation, I searched for a man to love me in the way that you do. Although I didn’t know that there is no man that can love me the way that my Heavenly Father does.

You see past all of my imperfections, you love me in spite of my iniquities. When I ask for forgiveness, it is instantly granted. Oh, how I love and adore you! You correct me when I have done wrong. When I am sad and downtrodden I can always find joy in thinking of you. You provide all of my needs according to your glorious riches (ref. Philippians 4:19). I have never known a love like this before. I yearn for you more and more each day. My desire is to spend all of eternity with you.

You are the one who gives me comfort, happiness, peace and unconditional love. There is none other like you dear God! If I had a million tongues it wouldn’t be enough to say “thank you” for it all. Thank you for the breath that I breathe. Thank you for the song that I sing. Thank you for never leaving nor forsaking me (ref. Deuteronomy 31:8)!

My love letter to you is never ending because I will never stop praising you my Lord. It is my desire to please you always. I love you more today than I did on yesterday. Oh how I look forward to the day that I will see your face and dwell in your Heavenly Kingdom. This is a portion of my continual love letter to you.

Feature Friday

Congratulations, you made it through another week in the life of a Saved M.O.M.! Here at Savedmom.com we take time out on Fridays to feature Saved M.O.M.’s. There are so many wonderful mothers that don’t get the recognition they deserve. I am delighted to say that this Feature Friday post is dedicated to Charleah. This beautiful woman is a devoted wife and the mother of three amazing sons. She is currently working alongside her husband in his medical practice and leading a Christian book club. When asked what her passion is, Charleah simply stated, “I absolutely love being a mom. If I could turn back the hands of time I would’ve had more children and enjoyed motherhood all over again.” She also enjoys quilting and other forms of arts and crafts. This creates a strong sense of peace for her and has allowed her the opportunity to fellowship with other mothers who enjoy finding solace in quilting as well.

When I asked Charleah how and when she came to know the Lord she shared, “I can remember that my husband received salvation and kept bugging me and getting on my nerves about getting saved. I went to church with him on a regular basis, but the day that I received salvation he wasn’t present.” She went on to talk about how she knew that it was truly God that moved inside of her on this day. She recalled, “It was September of 1999 and my middle child did not go to children’s church on this day because he had a fever and wasn’t feeling well. At the time of alter call I jumped up and left my sick son in the pulpit to answer the call.” She knew that it was a move of God because she would not have left her sick son under any other circumstance. Her oldest son received salvation on that same day as well and they were both baptized together a few weeks later!

I asked Charleah what being a Saved M.O.M. means to her and she said, “It gives you direction and a peace about life. In being a mom, it helps me to get through. Being a Saved M.O.M. gives you patience and peace and helps you give your children the right direction.” Her favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

Charleah wanted to leave some words of advice to all of our mothers. For all of our married mothers she said, “Love your husband for who he is and not for who you want him to be.” She went on to say, “Always love your kids no matter what and pray over them everyday. You can never give up on your children. Also, you must tithe, it’s a commandment and it will come back to you. Tithing is so important!”

I know Charleah very well and she is truly living out her Mommie Mission! I am so blessed to have her in my life. Thanks Charleah for simply being you! Until our next appointed meeting time. Yesterday’s passage read, “Sweet child, lie down in peace tonight, knowing that the heart of our leader is in the Lord’s hand. To do what is right is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. There is a time for war and a time for peace.” After reading this passage I started to wonder, “How many of us actually pray for our President and other leaders on a consistent basis?” Our leaders really do need our prayer. They are faced with so many challenges from day to day. They have to sit down and make the hard decisions for us and our country.

At the end of the day they are mere men and women with imperfections and flaws. They need divine guidance as they make the hard decisions. Although you may not agree with who is in office or the decisions that they have made in the past, they still need us lifting them up in prayer. They need prayer for wisdom, protection, and divine guidance. “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure.” (Proverbs 11:14).

The passage above also stated, “To do what is right is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.” We can also pray that our leader’s do what is right on the front end so that our country doesn’t have to make the sacrifices later, on the back end.

These prayers are not just for our politicians, but for our pastors and others in leadership positions as well. As we make an effort to pray for those in leadership we can teach our children to do the same. We can teach them to pray for their teachers and pastors. Just remember we must be the change that we want to see and prayer really does change things!

The Imporatance of Organization

Happy Monday to each and every one of you! Here we are the top of another week in the life of. Well, another weekend has come and gone and the list of things to do keeps on growing and growing. It seems as though motherhood requires a constant juggling act of “lists” of every kind. We have the “Things to do” list, the “Grocery” list and the “Important things to remember” list, just to name a few.

As mothers, it’s important that we keep things in perspective and stay organized so that we’re on top of things and not getting caught up in the confusion of it all. For those of you that don’t make list for yourselves, maybe it’s time to start. Making lists provides a type of “checks and balances” system. It not only helps you keep focus on what tasks need to be completed, but it also gives you motivation to get more things done. Then, you have a strong sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. I play a mental/visual game with myself. When I get my day started, I create this personal race against time and myself to check as many things off my list as quickly as I can. The more items that I see checked off, the more accomplished I feel. I know it seems silly, but it really works.

Considering that motherhood requires that we wear so many different hats, organization is extremely important. Getting organized may seem overwhelming, but my mother always said that you have to eat an elephant one bite at a time. Start off small and work your way down the list. You can also enlist the help of others. We are all a part of the body of Christ so we should work together. “Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” (Romans 12:4-5).

We all know someone who is super organized, so call up that friend or loved one and ask for some help. You can even get the kids involved as well. Your kids can start helping you around the house at a very early age. I remember when my son was 15 months old; he would help me put toys away at the end of the day. It just takes a little patience, time and training and before you know it they will be putting EVERYTHING away!

Spring is right around the corner which means it will be time for Spring Cleaning. This doesn’t have to be a “Supermom” task; the whole family can get involved. Set a day of the week for each family member to help take bites of that elephant until it’s completely gone. Once you get the house in order, keeping it in order becomes less of a challenge. When everything has its place it makes the tasks of cleaning and finding things so much easier.

Now, I’m not saying that this transition will take place over night. Depending on your schedule it may take several months, but you WILL eventually get there. So take some time to clean out that junk drawer, straighten out the kitchen cabinets and clean out your storage closet. Hey, you could even have a yard sale afterwards and use that money to get your debt list cleaned up too!

Feature Friday

Happy Friday to all! I want to take a few moments to thank all of the M.O.M.’s that made their way to prayer meeting on yesterday. There was a great turn out and an awesome move of God! As most of you all know, today is Feature Friday. I wanted to switch things up a bit today. Instead of featuring one mother, I want to take time to give special thanks to ALL mothers. You may feel as though your works are being overlooked and that no one else understands what you go through from day to day, although, you can find solace in knowing that you are not alone.

Earlier this week I had one of “those moments” in which we feel so overwhelmed and as though the walls are closing in around us. I’m sure you all know what I mean! I had a conversation with my First Lady and she offered up some great advice that I would love to share with you all on today. She shared these three jewels with me… First and foremost, always make time for yourself, no matter what! Second, it’s okay to say no! Then, last, but not least, don’t hesitate to ask for help when you need it. These are things that I already knew and heard before, but sometimes we need a reminder.

You must also understand that the Lord will never leave nor forsake you and that he is your Great Comforter. Just as you are there to comfort your children, the Lord is there to comfort you. “As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem." (Isaiah 66:13). Have an outstanding weekend and DON'T OVERDO IT!!!

Thursday Prayer

It’s Thursday and you know what that means; today is our designated day of prayer. We will pray together today at 12 pm. If you are not able to physically make it to the prayer meeting location you can join us in spirit. We are praying that God’s will is done in the lives of his faithful servants and that millions will receive salvation this year. We will say a special prayer of wisdom, protection, and divine guidance for our leaders, law enforcers and medical providers. Also, let’s not forget to keep Haiti and Chile in our prayers in wake of their recent devastation's. In addition to your prayers please donate whatever you can to aid in their time of need.

We are continuing to pray for Delonda and Cheree. Delonda would like for us to stand in agreement with her that her and her family have divine favor as they prepare to relocate. We are also praying that Cheree receives healing in the midst of her cancer battle. In addition, we are praying for fast and proper healing for Renee’ as she recovers from recent surgery.

As always we will pray that many mothers will be blessed by this ministry and great works will be done through this ministry. We will continue to stand on our weekly prayer points listed below. It is so important that we stand together in prayer, “For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” (Matthew 18:20).

We will continue to pray that love is the motivating force behind EVERYTHING that we do and that we operate in love at ALL times, especially when we don’t feel like it. For the word tells us, “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter 4:8). The word also says, “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” (John 15:12). If we can just learn to love always, no matter what, things will turn out well and happiness will be sure to follow.

Weekly prayer points are as follows…
We are praying that our family, friends and loved ones receive salvation and live lives that are submitted to the Lord.
We are praying that we maintain health and strength in the midst of it all.
We are praying that our children are always covered by the blood of Jesus and they make Godly decisions and live submitted lives.
We are praying that we all are continually filled with the heart and mind of Christ Jesus.
We are standing with all the mothers attached to this ministry and mothers worldwide that God’s will be done in their lives.
Thank you for standing with us and lifting up the prayer requests that have been laid before us. Remember to thank Him in advance. God bless you!

Word Wednesday

Today is officially “Word Wednesday” otherwise known as “Hump Day.” We’ve made it half way through yet another week on the wonderful, exciting and bumpy road of motherhood. Therefore, some of us are looking for some encouraging words to make it through the rest of the week with Joy and Peace. At night before my son goes to bed, in addition to reading bible stories, I read him a passage out of Prayers That Avail Much, First Blessings for Your Child by Germaine Copeland. Mommies we have to keep our children prayed up and constantly put Gods Word in their hearts.

Yesterday’s passage read, “The Lord has examined you. He knows all about you. He knows when you sit down and when you get up. He knows your thoughts before you think them. He knows where you will go and where you will lie down. He knows thoroughly everything you will do. May He keep you under the protection of His wings.” This passage led me through a series of thoughts pertaining to our personality traits including both our strengths and weaknesses. I can remember times past where I thought to myself, “Why did God make me this way? Why am I so emotional? Why am I so anal retentive? Why do I have so many flaws?”

Then one day I had this great epiphany that our strengths and weaknesses are a part of who we are and God made us this way for a reason. He knew us before he formed us in our mothers womb and everything within us has purpose. “In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,” (Ephesians 1:11).

As stated before, I am very emotional, but this trait allows me to empathize and sympathize with others very well and helps me show compassion to others in their times of need. We often think of our “weaknesses” as something negative, but if we search ourselves and pray for understanding, God can show us how these traits can be used to help others. “Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding,” (Proverbs 3:13). So the next time that you or your child exhibits a trait that you would consider to be negative, seek understanding and find a way to use that trait in a positive way.

Wait With Faith


Lord you have faithfully shown me
So many times before
And this time is no exception, Lord
And simply can't be ignored

That you know all that concerns my life
Everything your eyes do see
You always come through at just the right time
To meet my every need

For nothing escapes your watchful eye
No problem that we may cross
But so often, Lord, it seems as though
There's a delay in your response

I know it's a testing of our faith
To wait so patiently
You stretch us so our faith may grow
Though we want it instantly

But it's for our good that you respond
In your time, not in ours
For if you didn't - we'd stay as infants
Getting everything right now

For us to grow more Christ-like
We need to learn to wait
For often that's the answer to prayer
And builds us up in faith

So I thank you for the answer to come
As I hand it over in prayer
Thank you that you're still working on me
And my breakthrough's drawing near
